Accessibility statement
How accessible this website is, and how to report problems.
Our commitment
DARIAH ERIC, which publishes this website on behalf of the STARDAST project, is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We publish this statement voluntarily, following the model accessibility statement of the EU Web Accessibility Directive (Directive (EU) 2016/2102).
This statement applies to the public pages of this website. It does not cover the editing interface used by the project team.
Compliance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. To the best of our knowledge, this website meets that standard: the checks described below did not find any failures. However, the website has not yet been tested by people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, so there may be problems we have not found.
What we do
Pages use semantic HTML, with landmarks and a meaningful heading structure, so that they can be navigated with a screen reader.
All content and menus can be reached and used with a keyboard, and a skip link leads directly to the main content.
Images have alternative text, unless they are purely decorative. Partner logos are described by the partner's name.
Text can be enlarged, and the layout adapts to small screens and high zoom levels.
Every page has a title and declares its language.
Known limitations
We are not aware of any content on this website which is not accessible.
Some of the resources and publications we link to are hosted on Zenodo and on other websites which we do not control. Documents published there, such as PDF files, may not be fully accessible.
Documents and images published by the project team may not always meet these requirements. If you find content you cannot access, please let us know, and we will provide it in an accessible format.
How this statement was prepared
This statement was prepared on 23 October 2026, based on a self-assessment by the project team.
All pages were tested automatically with axe-core against WCAG 2.2 level AA, at desktop and mobile screen sizes. In addition, we checked in the browser that:
every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator which is never hidden by other content
the menu, the search, and the mailing list form work with a keyboard
pages can be read without scrolling sideways at a width of 320 pixels, which corresponds to 400% zoom
no text is cut off when the text size is doubled, or when line, letter, and word spacing are increased
page titles, headings, landmarks, and the names of links, buttons, images, and form fields – the structure that screen readers rely on – are complete and meaningful
None of these checks found a failure.
